Hello all just another update on the happenings at the centre over the last couple of months. Unfortunately we cancelled the Mother’s day event as there was not enough interest but on the plus side the 70/80/90’s event was a brilliant success for the club. We had a brilliant Brit Pop group play at the club in February and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves, and then Night Train played in March and it was lovely to see so many local people come along and have fun.

The quiz nights run by Aileen are really well supported and if you feel you would like to test your knowledge please come along and give it a try. The bingo run by Kevin is also well supported with a good cash prize on every session, we thank them both for their continued support. Mel organised a Pamper and Prosecco evening in March and it was really well attended and many visitors came along and had massages, nail treatments etc. Several people also used the pool and really enjoyed themselves.

The stall holders all said they would like to come to the centre in the future so please keep an eye on our website 7 On the downside, and there is always a downside, we unfortunately had a leak in the corridor to the swimming pool which means the ceiling has to be repaired and the corridor will have to be repainted. We are hoping this will be repaired and redecorated in April so please bear with us. We now have a new member of staff, Bethany, who has taken on the weekend cleaning for which we are very grateful and we have several enquiries after our advertisement for bar staff. We will be interviewing them very soon.

As I mentioned in the last Centrepiece, Matt, our treasurer for many years wished to step down so we now welcome Sarah Mcmillan as our new treasurer from April. We are still looking for a secretary if anyone is interested - please contact me for information I think that’s all to report this time, but thank you one and all for your continued support because if it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t have a club at all. Hope to see many of you in the near future.

Judy Fisher
