St Faiths' National Awards

At St Faiths', we work hard to ensure the children get as many different opportunities as possible to learn and develop their interests across the curriculum. This can be through school trips or extra-curricular provision, but also through the curriculum we deliver every day. Over the summer, we have been recognised by two different educational organisations: CLPE and the University of Hertfordshire (PSQM). They aim to raise achievement and aspirations of children in their respective areas of study:

CLPE Associate Status

CLPE Associate Schools are a group of carefully selected schools that have demonstrated a whole school commitment, to delivering their English Curriculum through the Power of Reading training. I am pleased to let you know that over the summer, St Faiths' and the 5 other Nebula schools, received 'Associate Status'. We are the only schools in the East of England to have received this acknowledgement and part of just 25 schools across the country who have shown such a commitment to delivering a high-quality English curriculum through The Power of Reading. We are really proud to be an Associate School and know our curriculum will continue to thrive because of it.

PSQM

Primary Science Quality Mark is a programme for primary science, which provides professional development for around 600 new and experienced subject leaders each year. PSQM enables confident, knowledgeable, reflective leadership which results in an improvement in the way in which science is strategically planned and taught across the whole school. We are pleased to share that St Faiths' Primary School has been awarded the PSQM for all the great Science teaching that takes place in our school. A big thank you to Mrs Nerney for all she has done to achieve this.

Christmas Time

As always, we have lots to look forward to this December: we are hosting a lower-school nativity, an upper school carol service and we're even sending a choir to take part in the Crematorium Christmas Memorial Service. The children have a Christmas disco to look forward to, Christmas Jumper Day with a Christmas Lunch and there's also a St Faiths' crafternoon and online panto to look forward to.. Oh yes there is! We will share pictures with you in the new year.

Children in Need Talent Show
At St Faiths', our children love raising money throughout the year for some of our favourite charities. This includes Children in Need, and what better way to raise money than with our bi-annual Talent Show and a non-uniform day!

We saw a wide range of talents, with a third of the whole school participating. Acts included roller skating, stand-up comedy, solo singers and a great little number-spotter! It was extra special as some of the newest children to our school even had the confidence to get up in front of everyone to share their skills!

The children raised an incredible £100 this year; a great contribution that will go towards helping lots of children and families less fortunate than we are. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures from the afternoon; more can be seen in our school newsletter.

Thank you for taking the time to find out about our school. We look forward to sharing more next time!
