Another two months have passed, goodness knows how they pass so quickly but they do! I am really happy to report that by the time you read this all the repairs and redecorating will have been completed in the pool area following our recent water leak, and hopefully a new digital clock will have been installed.

The pool is now used on a regular basis by a special needs school and for swimming lessons for young children which is great news.

The snooker tables and sports hall are being regularly used too. It’s been a very busy couple of months with events that have taken place and organising events for later in the year. Lauren is doing a brilliant job of organising our vintage day in August and Mel is looking to organise another pamper evening as the last one was so successful. We now have a country and western band playing at the Centre on the last Sunday of every month so if country and western is something you enjoy please do come along. The clairvoyant evening was very popular and we are looking into holding another one later this year, date yet to be decided.

The Centre now has over 900 members, with 378 brand new members joining so far this year and we are really happy to have their support. We have 1 pool team and 2 darts teams and a new football team joining us this year which is brilliant news for the club. We also have the Pavillion swing band practising at the Centre on a Thursday evening and we will be holding a swing band evening on Saturday 19th October. We cannot thank you enough for your support for this fantastic club

Our sincere thanks also go to the parish council who have donated half of the money to buy a defibrillator which is now situated outside the main door of the Centre, they are also paying for any maintenance which may be required in the future.

We would also like to thank Gary Hughes, Norfolk Electrical and Testing, for installing this free of charge for the benefit of local residents and visitors to the Centre.

We are very happy to support the school fayre on Saturday 29th June so please come along and support them if you can. We are also trying something new to us which is a rock and roll bingo night on Saturday 6th July so if you are interested please go online and book tickets for a fun evening.

Our website is updated regularly so please keep an eye out for things that are taking place at the Centre in the future. Have a great summer.
